Call to Activists Unnerves China
Today the Wall Street Journal reported that Chinese authorities are cracking down on protests. Notorious for its sophisticated censorship system, Chinese officials are monitoring online sites that call for protests after the historic protests which caused Presidents Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in Tunisia.
Protests have been spreading to other countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and China is reluctant to allow the same to happen in its own borders.
